"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1).
This verse can be encouraging even when there's nothing horribly wrong going on in your life, but you still just feel like ripping your hair out. :)

I needed this verse today. And its funny that right after I read it I got a phone call that made the day much better. Coincidence? I think not!
Good! And good that you see that the call wasn't merely coincidence. I think God likes it when we acknowledge His gifts to us, especially the "little" ones during an ordinary day.
A good scripture to remember on a day when the world seems just a little scarier than yesterday, too. Thanks...
